Keswick Vineyards April 2015 Wedding
Join us as we take a look behind the scenes for a Saturday April 11th wedding at the beautiful Keswick Vineyards outside of Charlottesville Virginia. Keswick Vineyards is a family owned and operated Virginia winery and vineyard located in the heart of Virginia wine country on the Monticello wine trail. On average most weddings take up to 18 months of planning, this is not just a wedding but a life changing experience. Most of us see the final result, the flowers, the decor, the reception, the cake and catering all set up and ready for guests to enjoy. Cindy Schornberg of Keswick Vineyards was kind enough to invite VAWE Network to get a behind the scenes look at the hard work and expertise that many small businesses provided to make an April wedding at Keswick Vineyards a success.
It took over 4 hours of set up time and close to 18 people to haul in catering supplies, dj equipment, event decor, tables, linens, flowers, cake, bar, photography, tables, chairs, lighting, etc… This list could easily be applied to a theater production or commercial video shoot but today all these event experts are working together for a wedding. The sun was shining during the wedding set up that began hours before guests were due to arrive. Nice weather aside, lugging equipment and managing large teams is no easy task. Items can get dinged or damaged en route, staff can call in sick, cakes can slide off center and so many possible issues can arise. The key is to always maintain composure and make sure you have problem solvers on your team. There is no such thing as a perfect event, something always comes up. But as long as you hire qualified experienced professionals, your guests will only see a flawless event executed with seamless perfection.
