Venue Tour at The Inn at Willow Grove
Driving up to The Inn at Willow Grove my first impression was, Southern Luxury. The yellow and white manor house and several other historic & new buildings are displayed nicely on a private 40-acre estate near the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Inn at Willow Grove is a boutique hotel dripping with art and elegance in every detail. The historic 18th century plantation house, cottages, barn ruins and grounds are inviting and serene. I toured the property with the events manager Gabrielle Chavigney, she was a gracious hostess & very knowledgeable about every aspect of the weddings & special events that take place here . Gabrielle is the first contact for the couples considering a wedding at the Inn at Willow Grove. She has relationships with many of the best wedding industry vendors and brides can be assured that Gabrielle does not take referrals lightly. Gabrielle offers couples a complete package of wedding services and the ability to assist in finding anything else the couple may need as well as day of coordination. The décor t the Inn at Willow Grove is perfect mix of modern, vintage and antique blended seamlessly. The boxwood garden is a perfect setting for a ceremony but it has heavy competition with so many lovely places on site offering spectacular views. During the tour there was a moment when I could envision famous historic families like the Kennedy’s having their afternoon cocktails in the lush green & floral heavy grounds while sharing world class secrets & looking beautiful. It is a place you just want to be and miss a little once your gone.
The Inn at Willow Grove offers farm to table, four star dining at the Vintage Restaurant & Pub with highly desirable chefs table services. This is set aside from the main hustle of the restaurant. There is space for wedding ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and the family Sunday brunch when two families become one big family. There are accommodations for everyone in your wedding party and a large cottage sits atop of the property overlooking the fields, valleys and mountains. There is much fun to be had on that king size porch swing with extra thick cushion – almost an outdoor bed (see images). The Inn at Willow Grove is ideal for proposals, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, indoor weddings, outdoor ceremonies and not just for one day but an entire weekend of celebrations! If you are searching for your wedding venue, The Inn at Willow Grove is about an hour from Richmand, 1.5 hours from DC and the drive is lovely. Getting outside of the Beltway has its perks.
